i just got back from prison yesterday haha!! mississippi was absolutely amazing!! i learned so much while i was down there, it was way different that ecuador but i can't say that it was better or worse, i just learned and experienced totally different things there. the prison and the inmates were totally different than what i expected, there were so many that were so on fire for God it was hard to hear what they had to live with inside the walls. it's weird to think that i probably shook hands and may even have prayed with someone who had committed a horrible crime, but then to see them worshiping God and being more free in their worship and Christian walk than i am at times. amoung many things i learned that God's grace covers everything and that even if you do mess up, God still needs you to fulfill what He has for you now. It's so awesome to see how God uses people to lift eachother up, i know that i got just as much out of the past week as the inamtes gained from us!

One of my youth leaders told us this today, and it's kind of just now hitting me i guess. We all go through different experiences in life, some of them good and some of them bad. Some of them we have absolutely no controll over and some we do. The only thing that will ever remain constant throughout a person's life is Jesus. He is the same as He was hundreds of years ago, and He'll be the same tomorrow. His blood will never fail me, He will never leave me even when i totally mess up, and He won't leave me when I need him the most in the some of the hard stuff that happens in life. After this morning I'm really ok with everything, I know it's not going to be easy, but through the trial i will be joyful, becuase through trials comes perseverance, and perseverance develops character. AND i am surrounded by an amazing group of ppl that will work through this together and become more unified in the process.

wow i haven't been on xanga, or online at all in forever!!!! so much has happened!! let's see.... first of all i have officially finished my first year of college...only 3 more to go lol!!!! but this year really has been so much fun, i had the most amazing floor ever....we will def have to talk/hang out over the summer, and i've learned a lot about myself and other ppl!! we (the golf team) just won our 8th mid-con championship in a row heck yeah! and will be heading to new mexico state for regionals on tues!! i'm so pumped....we can totally make it to nationals no matter who thinks we can't!!!! AND i'm sooooo excited for summer and freedom from the stress of school, the lake(when linds invites me lol), mississippi, and alot of other random stuff!!! Anyways i hope everyone who hasn't finished school finishes strong...you can do it!!!!
